Sold in Two Weeks for Full Price
We called Carol Asnen because she sold our neighbor’s home
four days after the listing came out. She sold our
home in two weeks after the listing came out, and
for our asking price.
This is a very difficult market if you are a seller, and
Carol understands that selling a property requires
more than just an MLS listing and a sign in front of
the house. First thing she did was prepare a
detailed market analysis in order to set the selling
price correctly. Then she walked the house with us
to decide what furnishing/accessories we needed to
add or remove to show off the best features of the
house. Carol furnished items we needed to add, and
then staged the house and patio. Next thing she did
was film a “visual tour” of the inside and outside
of the house, and placed the file on several
websites. She also made individual CD copies of the
file to hand out to Open House visitors and to mail
to prospects. She conducted realtor tours so other
realtors could view the property. She placed
advertisements with color pictures in real estate
magazines as well as the Arizona Republic. She
scheduled Open House events on the weekends. And
she worked the phones. That is aggressive, and that
is what it takes.
As well as being extremely focused and aggressive,
Carol is funny, ethical, realistic, and very
caring. We have enjoyed working with her and would

SOLD IN FOUR DAYS
Having recently completed the sale of my home, I
would like to take this opportunity to express my
appreciation for the outstanding work done by
Carol Asnen of ReMax as my realtor in this
effort. There are a number of reasons why I would
unreservedly recommend Carol to anyone buying or
selling a home; here are three of them.
Before selecting Carol as my realtor, I interviewed
a number of realtors from several well known realty
companies, Carol was by far the best prepared, with
more information than any of the others; the
information was more relevant. The suggested
selling prices varied by over $100,000 amongst the
realtors, with Carol having the highest suggestion
by more than $50,000 over the next highest. This
was more than I thought was realistic, but Carol
provided information that indicated her recommended
asking prices was reasonable. Based on the above, I
decided to go with Carol.
On the very day that I was to sign the contract with
Carol to put my house on the market, the housing
market in Phoenix took a large downturn from the
seller’s standpoint. If we had put the house on the
market in the usual manner, it would have been very
difficult to sell it without lowering the price
$50,000 or more. I was ready to put my plans on
hold for months or a year to await better selling
conditions. Carol thought it would be possible to
sell at the price we had originally settled on by
using a somewhat non-traditional marketing
approach. She stood her ground and insisted the
original asking price was still attainable. She
also demonstrated to me that there was no down-side
to trying it so we decided to give it a go. One
month later we had our first open house. Four
days later I had an offer for the house for the
original price, in spite of the downturn in the
market for sellers!
Finally, Carol has performed in a completely
professional manner in all aspects of this effort.
She has performed all of the necessary paperwork and
follow-ups in a timely manner and with great
effectiveness. She explained everything to me in
all necessary detail about the process of selling a
house and provided much good advice.
There is no doubt in my mind that if I had tried to
sell my house myself or used a different realtor, it
would have taken months or a year longer to do it,
or I would have had to settle for a price $50,000
less than I got; most likely both would have
occurred.
